Deadly Doctor Who Villain Escapes to the Frontier(Ville)
It would seem that not exclusive is someone at Zynga is a Doctor Who fan, but atomic number 2 or she has decided to make things only a teensy bit more "newsworthy" for the trailblazing pioneers of FrontierVille.
Performing certain tasks in Facebook game FrontierVille earns you awards and decorations you can use to sporting lady up your prop. Mouse over this cherubic statue, however, and you'll find out that it's a bit more than just a handsome addition to your ranchyard:
Nictation and you're dead. They are speeding, faster than you could believe. Don't turn your spinal column, don't looking away, and don't blink.
The description is a reference to The Weeping Angels, which first appeared during sci fi series Dr. Who's tertiary season in the award-taking episode "Blink." They are a predatory species that feasts on Energy, and they're particularly inclined of the life energy of some other beingness. The Angels deliver a unique defense mechanism which turns them into half-witted statues it some living creature is looking them. The moment the lights go out, all the same, they move with incredible speed, crossing total rooms in literally the New York minut.
Obviously, no extraordinary's in any real danger from this exceptional angel statue; information technology's just a fun caper for fans of British sci-fi to discover. But just in case, I'd avoid superficial too closely at the statue's eyes. Trust Pine Tree State on this one; I'm doing you a favor.
